Whoo hoo… nutella cupcakes!!! For those who think that chocolate alone sometimes just won’t do it, you can mix the irresistible nutella, the well known hazelnut chocolate spread in your cupcakes to create a surprise for every bite.INGREDIENTS
- 3/4 cup plus 2 spoons of flour
- 2 1/2 spoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
- a scant 3/4 cup sugar
- 3/4 teaspoon of baking powder
- 3 spoons of butter (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup of whole milk (room temperature)
- 1 egg (room temperature)
- 1/2 cup of nutella
- a pinch of salt
- 2 cups of icing sugar
- 2 spoons of whole milk
- 1/3 cup of nutella
METHOD Mix flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, sugar, salt, and butter until you get a sandy consistency and everything is well combined. Slowly pour milk into the flour mixture, beating well until all the ingredients are well mixed. Add the egg and beat well.
Fill two-thirds of the cupcake cases and bake in the preheated oven 190°C for about 20 minutes. Let the cupcakes cool down.
When the cupcakes are cold, hollow out a small section in the center of each one and fill with nutella.
Mix all the ingredients for the icing, spoon the frosting on top and decorate accordingly.
