Poppy Seed Plum Cake

It’s light and extremely easy to make, even the least skilled baker can make this cake and deliver a wonderful dessert with a look that usually can only be seen in coffee shops.

  1. 1 cup and a ½ of plain flour
  2. 2 eggs
  3. 1 cup sugar
  4. 1 cup of milk
  5. ½ cup vegetable oil
  6. 1 teaspoon baking powder
  7. 1 cup poppy seeds
  8. ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  9. 1 plum slices in eights
  1. In a bowl put the flour, sugar, milk, vegetable oil, eggs and baking powder. Stir for few minutes until everything is mixed.
  2. Add poppy seeds and cinnamon and stir again to blend everything in.
  3. Place some baking paper in a cake tin and pour all the mixture in.
  4. Top with plum slices and bake in a pre-heated oven at 180 °C for 30 minutes.
  1. You may add some drops of vanilla extract or lemon juice.
